When I paint, I feel the music of the artwork — and now I can give each piece its own voice and its own music. All lyrics, the voice, and the music are original works created by me, shaped from the same emotional source that created the painting.

Icy Depths
Jungle Vision Expression
Style: Jungleistic
Mixed media on canvas
Original size: 60″ W × 36″ H
Icy Depths is alive with the rhythm of movement through intensely cold water. The painting does not present a still frozen world; it feels inhabited by something moving rapidly through it—plunging beneath the surface, disappearing into the depths, then breaking upward again. The eye follows that movement without ever seeing exactly what is creating it.
Brilliant blues dominate the canvas, moving from luminous turquoise and icy cyan to cobalt, deep blue, and almost-black passages. White and pale blue appear in flashes along the curved gestures, catching the eye like light striking disturbed water. Against this vast field of blue, the darkest marks become especially important: they appear and vanish between the larger movements, leaving behind visual traces of something that has just passed through.
The brushwork creates an extraordinary physical rhythm. Long, curving strokes sweep downward and upward, while shorter marks interrupt them like sudden plunges, turns, and resurfacing movements. Some gestures seem to dive directly into the darker depths; others rise toward the light. The painting makes us aware not only of movement itself, but of the traces movement leaves behind.
There is something almost playful within the intensity of Icy Depths. It brings to mind the exhilarating rhythm of penguins moving through frozen water—diving beneath the surface, accelerating through the blue, then bursting upward before plunging back again. Yet the forms remain abstract enough that the viewer can discover an entirely different presence within them. What remains unmistakable is the sensation: life moving fearlessly through an immense, cold world.
As a Jungle Vision Expression, Icy Depths embodies the Jungleistic style of Bereniche Aguiar—where instinct comes alive through movement, color & form.
